more..."When you don't have a chance live in Australia. Or Scandinavia. Neither in Bali. Or in Ibiza.
But when you can mix them all and make it in Milan, Italy. I'm wanted combine some pieces of all of those styles to my home. My Dutch years effected to my industrial, vintage and mixing love and style. Cheap thing standing together with some expensive ones in harmony. My home looks like my soul and needs - something strong, something sensitive, something natural, relaxing, brightness and lot of light and free space around.''

A house in Milan with an all-white palette
Swedish-born Annemo Quist Picece, the Italian agent for Danish interiors company Tine K Home, moved to this 1950s oversized family home in Milan and after the renovation, set up a home with office and showroom with a Scandinavian-inspired palette, a mix of white, black, grey and pops of pastel.

A contemporary villa has sprung from the ruins of an old farmhouse in Italy’s Umbrian countryside. Its Rome-based owners inherited the old San Pellegrino building from their grandparents, but it was no longer fit for habitation. Enlisting the talents of Italian architect Pia Karin Spreafico, they created a new holiday home to sit on top of the old, and make the most of its hilltop views. And though it looks traditional from the outside, the San Pellegrino villa’s interiors blurr Scandi and Italian influences to create minimal white spaces with surprising volumes. Lofty, beamed ceilings and rustic wooden floors combine with white walls, concrete fireplaces and contemporary furniture.

Tucked on the hills of Sorrento, on the beautiful coast of Amalfi in Italy, the Boutique Hotel Maison La Minervetta, built in the 1950s and renovated in 2006, gives its own unique concept of navy aesthetics.
Each of its 12 rooms has a breathtaking view, thanks to their huge openings and a decoration which follows the navy style in its most maximalist version.
Beautiful collections of deco objects, artworks, ceramics made with traditional techniques, books and souvenirs from far-reaching destinations, create a scenery that fascinates those who love both travel and design.

Casa Talia is a redevelopment of several small independent houses that are located within the historical city center of Modica, Sicily. For the restoration of the houses by architects Vivian Haddad and Marco Giunta, great attention has been given to the choice of materials, which are natural, ecological, and, above all, typical of the Sicilian tradition: stone walls, lime plasters, cane roof, stone and polychrome tiled floors. The restoration completely respected the preexistences and the interiors has been furnished with simplicity and good taste, using pieces of furniture which tell the “Sicilianity” and their background – all rooms, with their colors and atmospheres, refer to Mediterranean places and to the different cultures that marked the Sicilian history.

Minimalism meets majesty at Palazzo Daniele, a nine-suite hotel in Puglia. Set in the village of Gagliano del Capo, where the Adriatic’s rocky coastline meets the sandy beaches of the Ionian Sea, the property is the former family palazzo of Francesco Petrucci, founder of Capo d’Arte, a not-for-profit organisation promoting contemporary art in Puglia.
Reshaped by Gabriele Salini’s GS Collection and Milanese duo Ludovica and Roberto Palomba of Palomba Serafini Associati, the 19th-century pile has been turned into a host of suites and an art space. Inspired by the idea of ‘absence’, the architects have stripped back as much as possible, while restoring historical features such as ornate frescoes and mosaic flooring, to create a dramatic canvas for the palazzo’s contemporary art collection.

Trullo di Luna Imperfect perfection
Trullo di Luna is a typical dwelling in Puglia, in the south of Italy. The imperfect charm of the old exposed stones, the small alcoves, and the arcades give it an almost scuptural look. The house is surrounded by three hectares of countryside, century-old olive trees, oaks and almond trees, and offers covered terrace and a swimming pool with sandy surroundings, like a beach.
