Villa Anouk is nestled alongside the forest of Douar Laaraich, overlooking Essaouira in Morocco.
It is a tranquil sanctuary with seven bedrooms and seven suites, built in the Moroccan Beldi tradition. That means it is made entirely of stone and wood with thatched wood ceilings throughout. Every element of the house is hand-built with natural materials by local artisans and masters of Moroccan craftsmanship. Each element of the interior and exterior is carefully designed to reflect the example of traditional oriental architecture. Local artists, designers and architects have joined forces to make Villa Anouk a true attraction in this small town. Luxurious bathrooms, lounge sofas adorned with countless soft cushions, carpets, unique décor and gorgeous views create a very personal environment with a dose of mysticism and a touch of oriental.

PARILIO A Design Hotel on Paros island by INTERIOR DESIGN LABORATORIUM

September 06, 2019 0
Located among the green meadows and the island reeds, next to the famous Kolympithres beach, Parilio – “the sun’s aura” – gets its name from the bright, sunlike optical illusion, often on a luminous ring or halo, caused by sunlight passing through ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. Parilio hotel architecture strives for the creation of a fundamental design reality and highlights the need for a return to the traditional principles of Cycladic architecture where studied simplicity is the protagonist.
The design is influenced by the traditional houses of Paros and inspired by the fortress – like monasteries that one encounters on the island.

Experimental Hotel on Menorca island

Agustus 30, 2019 0
Surrounded by pine groves, fragrant juniper shrubs and wildflowers, the whitewashed compound has been carefully restored—including, soon, its original vegetable garden—by a team of local craftsmen under the guidance of interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon.
Airy, open spaces use rustic drystone, waxed concrete and rough-hewn local wood plank floors with accents of hand glazed terra cotta tile.
Pale olive wood and natural leather are complemented by a color palate inspired by the Menorcan sky: from the pale blues and golden yellows of early morning to the vibrant rust tones of sunset at its most blazing.

Palazzo Daniele, A 19th century italian palazzo in Puglia, Italy

Mei 30, 2019 0
Minimalism meets majesty at Palazzo Daniele, a nine-suite hotel in Puglia. Set in the village of Gagliano del Capo, where the Adriatic’s rocky coastline meets the sandy beaches of the Ionian Sea, the property is the former family palazzo of Francesco Petrucci, founder of Capo d’Arte, a not-for-profit organisation promoting contemporary art in Puglia.
Reshaped by Gabriele Salini’s GS Collection and Milanese duo Ludovica and Roberto Palomba of Palomba Serafini Associati, the 19th-century pile has been turned into a host of suites and an art space. Inspired by the idea of ‘absence’, the architects have stripped back as much as possible, while restoring historical features such as ornate frescoes and mosaic flooring, to create a dramatic canvas for the palazzo’s contemporary art collection.

Arches Boutique Hotel in Santorini, Greece

Mei 22, 2019 0

Plaini and Karahalios Architects renovated the Arches Boutique Hotel in Santorini, Greece.  Santorini has always been a bridge of cultures, bringing together different elements and introducing new unique forms.
The building itself, situated in the center of Oia, serves as a paradigm of co-esxistance between the traditional Cycladic white forms and the array of west-influenced arches, echoing the utopian landscapes of Giorgio De Chirico’s paintings.

The interiors of the rooms are decorated with antique furniture from the late 19th to the first half of the 20th century.
